Nelson Mandela MuhooziNelson Mandela Muhoozi is Ugandan mid-career multi-award-winning multimedia journalist at the state-owed New Vision, Uganda’s oldest newspaper. Having been in the Newsroom since 2017, Nelson has had keen interest in investigative journalism, covering global business and economy, insurance, agriculture, climate change and social justice. In 2023, Nelson won in the online category of the Pan African Reinsurance Journalism Awards at the 8th Continental Re CEO Summit in March 2023. In 2023, he also won the Insurance Media Personality of the year award in Uganda at the Insurance Innovations Awards which were organised by the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA).
