Add your voice to a growing number of African insurers who have shared their views on the development of the Principles for Sustainable Insurance and the evolving ESG agenda.
The organisers have asked readers of Africa Ahead: the Sustainability Challenge to take part in a survey to help the UN PSI team and African insurers work together to develop sustainable and resilient African insurance markets. They will be gathering views from the insurance industry and its stakeholders on how sustainable finance can increase resilience for long-term economic sustainability in Africa.
The survey is anonymous and should take about ten minutes to complete. Please share this survey with relevant colleagues. The organisers aim to gather as broad a response as possible.
The survey has been extended for another two weeks until the middle of May.
Survey organiser Dorothy Maseke, chief risk officer at ICEALion, urged insurers from across the continent to take part. “We would really appreciate your views,” she said, “particularly from those in South Africa and in north Africa, so that we can gain valuable insights into how the whole continent views ESG and how insurers are promoting this agenda internally and to their customers.”
The research will be published in the coming months.
