SanlamAllianz has won the African Insurer Trophy at the AFIS Awards 2025. The award was accepted on behalf of CEO Heinie Werth by Lizelle Nel, executive: governance, risk and compliance management, during an event held in Casablanca.
According to the organisers of the event, the African Insurer Trophy “celebrates those redefining Africa’s insurance sector as a pillar of economic integration and honours the forward-thinking leaders who are driving this change. By offering innovative products, improving risk management and prioritising inclusion, these leaders are establishing protection systems that empower individuals, businesses and communities across the continent.”
Werth said this is a well-deserved recognition for our entire team: “I am honoured to receive this award on behalf of our teams across SanlamAllianz’s 26 operating countries. This is a recognition of the efforts made daily by our employees to empower generations to be financially confident, secure and prosperous.”
